PURPOSE:To raise the thermal efficiency of a power plant, by heating air or oxygen gas serving as a gasifier by the gas produced by a gasifying furnace and dedusted by a precision dedusting means which is disposed at the outlet of a steam generating means at the outlet of the gasifying furnace. CONSTITUTION:A steam generating means 7 disposed at the outlet of a coal gasifying furnace 3 cools crude coal gas produced at the furnace 3 and carries steam generated at the steam generating means 7 to a waste-heat recovering boiler 20. The, the crude gas is carried to a precision dedusting means 63, in which dust contained in the crude gas is removed perfectly. A heat exchanger 64 is provided on the downstream side of the dedusting means 63 so as to preheat a gasifying agent such as air supplied to the coal gasifying furnace 3 by the dedusted crude coal gas. Further, a gasifying-agent passage 83 is provided to connect the heat exchanger 64 to a gas turbine 17 of a combined power plant 61 so that preheated gasifying agent is supplied to the coal gasifying furnace 3. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to raise the thermal efficiency of the power plant to a great extent, to lower the plant cost considerably and to improve operation of the power plant. |
