LOW-TEMPERATURE VESSEL

摘要

PURPOSE:To prevent the thermal oscillation inside a piping by arranging a buffer tank at a section of the piping inside of outer tank with the piping communicating with an inner tank penetrating the outer tank in an air-tight manner of a low-temperature vessel which is to store a cryogenic coolant such as a liquid helium etc. CONSTITUTION:An inner tank 1 which is to contain a cryogenic coolant is enclosed in an outer tank 2 and a vacuum heat-insulating layer 3 is formed in a gap between the inner/outer tanks 1 and 2. A piping 4 which communicates with the inner tank 1 is led to the outside penetrating the outer tank 2. A buffer tank 6 is arranged communicating with this piping 4 at a certain section of this piping inside the outer tank 2. The inside-piping 4 pressure absorbing effect of this piping 4 brings forth a change in an oscillation condition of the piping 4 resulting in a prevention of the occurrence of a thermal oscillation inside the piping 4.
