PURPOSE:To enable the forming of a desired bending shape as required with a simple construction by filling a part of a protective net with a hardening material to permit change in harness partially. CONSTITUTION:In an angle part 2b provided between a soft part 2a and a hard tip part 2c at an inserting section 2 of an endoscope, a structural body 10 is made up of metal angle rings 10a pivoted sequentially and the outside of the structural body 10 is covered with a protective net 11 which is formed by knitting metal fiber. A hardened part 13 is formed at a part of the protective net 11 and made in a roughly half-elliptic shape at a portion somewhere from a part on the side following the soft part 2a. Furthermore, the hardened part 13 is harder than other parts. With the angle part 2b thus arranged, when an angle knob 3 is operated to make an angle operation wire 24 bend with a push or pull action, initially, the part other than the hardened part 13 is bent in the angle part 2b and thus the tip part alone of the angle part 2b is curved.
