PURPOSE:To prepare an useful substance such as lymphokine with a host cell corresponding to the substance to be prepared, by culturing the animal cell transformed by a plasmid having a specific gene and a gene coding the useful protein. CONSTITUTION:An animal cell is transformed by a plasmid containing a MDRrelating gene having changed sensibility to a specific drug and a gene coding an useful protein and subsequently cultured to produce the useful protein. The MDR-relating gene includes MDR AI gene having low resistance to colchicine and separated from a human normal adrenal gland.
