A hybrid transfer switch (40) comprises at least a pair of GaAs MMIC FET SPDT switches (12, 14) coupled together by a pair of transmission lines (16, 18). PIN diodes (20, 42) are coupled to the transmission lines (16, 18) and to a DC bias circuitry (B+, 48, B-, 46, 44). The hybrid switch performance closely approximates that of a mechanical/electromechanical transfer switch while providing improved repeatability. |
