USE:For breeding of rice plant such as improvement in quality of starch in rice plant grains. PREPARATION:For example, the base sequence of rice plant.waxy is estimated based on the base sequence of waxy of a heterologus plant such as corn or barley and a DNA of a primer for polymerase chain reaction(PCR) is synthesized based thereon. The resultant DNA is then used to carry out the PCR for fishing out rice plant.waxy from the rice plant nuclear DNA of a sample. Synthetic reaction in a region between primers is advanced to recognize amplification of the rice plant.waxy gene and extremely efficiently afford the objective waxy gene derived from the rice plant nuclear genome.
