PURPOSE:To shorten the time needed for a log-out operation and the second initialization in a fault processing state by providing a scan buffer as a storage means exclusive for the initialization data on a device to be diagnosed and supplying the data read out of the scan buffer to a scan-in control circuit of the device to be diagnosed, of a diagnostic device for execution of the initialization. CONSTITUTION:An internal data buffer 18 of a diagnostic device 1 stores the initialization data on an internal flip-flop F/F 50 of an arithmetic unit 5. Thus both a log-out operation and the second initialization can be carried out at one time even through a scan buffer 12 is used for storage of the scan-out data in a scan-out control state as long as the initialization data is supplied to a scan-in control circuit 14 as the scan-in data. As a result, much time is not required for execution of a log-out operation and the second initialization of an internal register of a faulty device. |
