PURPOSE:To enable a diagnosis time to be shortened, and an error position to be simply discriminated by supplying the shift data of a toggle pattern to a divided and chained flipflop circuit, and checking output from the flipflop circuit. CONSTITUTION:In diagnosing a flipflop circuit, shift data generation circuit 5 is activated with a diagnosis instruction signal 101, and toggle data thereby generated is selected as an output signal 105 at selector circuits 3 and 4. In addition, output signals 106 and 107 are fed to flipflop circuit groups 1 and 2 as shift data 1. A diagnosis time is curtailed by dividing all flipflop circuits into a plurality as aforementioned. Also, output data from the aforesaid circuit groups 1 and 2 is toggle data and, therefore, an error detection circuit 6 can be easily checked. Also, for a circuit giving an error, a value upon occurrence of the error is indicated in a counter circuit 7, and the error circuit can be easily identified with an output signal 111 from the counter circuit 7. |
