PURPOSE:To secure the mounting of a needle in a easy processing by drawing a part of a stitching yarn comprising thermoplastic filament by heating above a transition temperature of glass and below a melting point. CONSTITUTION:A stitching yarn 10 is made up of a monofilament or a multifilament and the final end 12 thereof slender and hardened by heat drawing is inserted into a mounting hole of a needle 20 and the part is caulked to mount the needle 20 to the final end 12. The temperature during the heat drawing herein necessary ranges from the transition temperature of glass to a melting point thereof. Moreover, as the final end of the stitching yarn obtained is stable in diameter, a stable withdrawing strength of the needle is obtained by adjusting a caulking condition. The stitching yarn with a needle may be the type having needles mounted at both ends thereof. |
