PURPOSE:To obtain the title compound in high yield under mild conditions by reacting an alkyl carbonate alkali metal salt with an aromatic sulfonyl halide in the presence of a tertiary amine. CONSTITUTION:A compound expressed by formula III (R is alkyl; M is alkali metal) is made to react with a compound expressed by formula IV (R<1> and R<2> are H, halogen or alkyl; Y is halogen) in the presence of an aromatic tertiary amine in which an aromatic ring is bound through an aliphatic tertiary amine or alkylene group to N atom, preferably compound expressed by formula I [R<3> and R<4> are alkyl; R<5> is alkylene; Y is H, alkoxy, alkylthio, allyl or formula II (R<6> and R<7> are H or alkyl and at least one thereof is alkyl; Z is O, S, etc.; (n) is >=1; (l) is 0 or 1] at 0-100 deg.C, preferably 20-80 deg.C to provide the compound expressed by formula V. |
