PURPOSE:To reduce the difference in the quantity of air charge between a first and a second actuating section by keeping an inlet return passage open when the difference in exhaust air pressure is equal to or more than a specified value between a first and a second individual exhaust passage section both of which are closed by an inlet air cut valve, an exhaust air cut valve and an exhaust air snifting valve. CONSTITUTION:When the difference in exhaust air pressure is equal to or more than a specified value between a first and a second individual exhaust air passage section 9A and 9B with a second inlet air passage section 6D, the second individual exhaust air passage section 9B and an exhaust air snifting passage 24 closed by an inlet air cut valve 40, an exhaust air cut valve 23 and an exhaust air snifting valve 25 respective ly, a part of inlet air obtained at a first individual inlet air passage section 6A is returned back to a position at the upstream side of the blower of a first turbo super charger 20 in the inlet air passage section via an inlet air snifting passage section 55. This thereby causes the difference in the quantity of air charge between a first and a second actuating section to be reduced with inlet air to be supplied to the first actuating section of an engine main body decreased via the first individual inlet air passage section 6A. |
