PURPOSE:To rapidly generate noises to be used for the synthesis of musical tones by simple constitution by controlling musical tones or musical tone control elements by random noise data read out from a storage means. CONSTITUTION:The storage means 22 previously stores a series of random data string such as a white noise as random noise data. When the random noise data are required at the time of generating musical tones, the data are successively read out from the means 22 by a reading means. Thereby, the random noise data necessary for musical tone control can easily be obtained. Since it is unnecessary for a control means 10 to executes the arithmetic processing of the random noise data in each control of a musical tone or a musical tone control element, the musical tones can be controlled by using the complex random noise data without applying excessive load to the control means 10. Thus, noises can rapidly be generated by the simple constitution at the time of synthesizing musical tones. |
