PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition effective in attaining sufficient bonding effect in the application of a urethane adhesive or sealant without necessitating pretreatment of the bonding surface by using a polyisocyanate compound and a styrene polymer having polarity as essential components. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition contains (A) a polyisocyanate compound [preferably 4,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate, tris(isocyanatophenyl) thiophosphate, etc.], and (B) a styrene polymer having polar group (preferably carboxyl group, etc.) at a weight ratio (A:B) of 1:10 to 50:1. The composition is usually dissolved in an organic solvent such as methyl ethyl ketone and ethyl acetate and applied to an adherend by brushing, spraying, immersion, etc. |
