NEW MATERIAL:An optically active 1-phosphino-2-phosphinomethylcycloalkane compound expressed by the formula [R<1> is cyclohexyl or (substituted) phenyl; (n) is 2-4; * is optically active point]. EXAMPLE:Optically active 1-diphenylphosphino-2- diphenylphosphinomethylcyclopentane. USE:Useful as a metallic complex catalyst for asymmetric synthesis having excellent asymmetric yield and reaction efficiency. PREPARATION:2-oxocyclopentane ethyl carboxylate is subjected to asymmetric hydrogenation by using (S)-BINAP-ruthenium catalyst to obtain (1S, 2R)-2- ethoxycarbonyl cyclopentane-1-ol. Said compound is reduced by lithium aluminum hydride to make (1S, 2R)-2-hydroxymethyl cyclopentane-1-ol and the resultant compound is tosylated to obtain (1S, 2R)-1-p-toluene sulfonyloxy-2-p-toluene sulfonyloxymethyl cyclopentane as a crystal. At last, said compound is diphenylphosphinated. |
