PURPOSE:To uniform inter-stroke width by rearranging respective points of strokes based on a calculated stroke width and end positions and developing the rearranged result on a bit map. CONSTITUTION:Outline font data are read out by an outline information extracting means 11 and information relating to the positions of the right and left ends of horizontal or vertical strokes and the width of the strokes is extracted by the means 11. A stroke width calculating means 12 inspects the number of strokes, the width of the strokes and a difference between the maximum value and minimum value of each inter-stroke width and decides whether the correction of the inter-stroke width is necessary or not. At the time of deciding the necessity of correction, corrected inter-stroke width and the end positions of respective strokes are calculated based upon the extracted information. When the stroke width and the end positions of the strokes are calculated by the means 12, a bit map developing means 13 rearranges respective points of the strokes in a memory, quantizes data and then develops the quantized data on a bit map. Consequently, the inter-stroke width can always be uniformed. |
