<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of a tape cassette by discriminating the winding diameter of the tape by comparing a counting ratio of outputs obtained from a supply reel pulse counter and a wind reel pulse counter, and a counting ratio of a reel pulse immediately after rewind or quick feed of the tape, and lowering a wind speed in the start and the end of the tape. CONSTITUTION:At the time of winding a tape cassette to the supply side or the wind reel side, a counting output ratio of supply reel pulse and wind reel pulse counters 12, 13 is calculated after a quick feed or rewind operation is started, held in a memory 15, and thereafter, one moror 1 or 2 is driven through a reel drive circuit 3 or 4. Subsequently, by comparing its ratio with a counting ratio held in the memory 15, an end point of a start point or an end point of the tape cassette is detected, and in the case of approaching this end part, the speed control is executed so that the sum of pulses obtained by a supply reel pulse generator 5 and a wind reel pulse generator 6 becomes constant, and the wind speed is lowered. In such a way, thrust-in of the end of the tape can be prevented, and damage of the tape cassette does not occur.</p> |
