PURPOSE:To efficiently perform the recording of optical data due to a configurational change (bump formation) at the time of heating and the erasure of a recorded bump by constituting the recording layer provided on a substrate of a three-dimensional crosslinked polymer containing a dye so that the crosslinking density of the crosslinked polymer is continuously attenuated from the surface of the recording layer in a thickness direction. CONSTITUTION:A photo-crosslinkable polymer or oligomer containing a dye is applied to a substrate 1 and irradiated with active rays to form a three-dimensional crosslinked body 2. At this time, the irradiation with active rays is carried out so that the crosslinking density of the crosslinked body is continuously attenuated from the surface of the coated layer in a thickness direction. The polymer or oligomer is a thermoplastic one wherein no flow deformation is generated by heating after crosslinking and the surface of the coated layer is in a resinous state but the interior thereof is in a rubbery state at room temp. and the surface crosslinked layer of the coated layer is also in a rubbery state under the heating due to the irradiation with recording and erasing laser beam. The thermoplastic polymer or oligomer is one having a UV crosslinkable functional group selected from an epoxy resin, a polycarbonate resin, a modified phenoxy resin, a polyurethane resin, a polyester resin and a polyamide resin. |
