<p>PURPOSE:To simplify release by setting a plural number of applied electric currents of an electromagnetic tooth clutch, selecting a desired setting value, commanding a steering drive and selecting a setting value suitable for a drive condition. CONSTITUTION:An electromagnetic tooth clutch 10 is installed with a rotor 1 free to rotate on the inside of a stator 3 installed with an exciting coil 4, and a magnetic circuit S is formed between the rotor 1 and an armature 5. An adapter plate 8 on the driven side is fixed on the armature 5. An input shaft and an output shaft are connected to each other by engagement of tooth rings 7, 6. A rotation drive unit is rotated by way of selecting a desired setting value from a setting circuit to set a plural number of applied electric currents on an exciting coil by a selection circuit. Connection with a driven unit is released by way of selecting and commanding a setting value suitable for this drive condition by a change-over control circuit. Accordingly, no torque limiter is required and it is possible to easily release it.</p> |
