摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To exclude surely a factor of vertical vibration of a strip-shaped body as a body to be measured and to improve the precision in measurement of the degree of flatness by determining the degree of flatness by executing computation on the basis of a tilt signal at each spot of the strip-shaped body which is obtained by a tilt detector. CONSTITUTION:First a distance to the surface of a strip-shaped body 1 is measured by a plurality of strip-shaped body moving distance measuring units 13 which are arranged in the width direction of the strip-shaped body 1. The distance Y is a function F(X) of a position X of movement of the strip-shaped body 1 basically, while it is also a function of a vibration component B(t) in the vertical direction by time (t). Accordingly, the distance Y can be expressed as a function of the two factors. Using each tilt measuring unit 12 provided in the width direction of the strip-shaped body 1, then, a tilt at each measuring position of the unit is measured, the square of a tilt value tan theta at each measuring position is integrated and thereby the degree of flatness (extension rate) can be obtained. In other words, this degree of flatness is determined by computing in a flatness degree computing unit 14 the ratio between the square accumulation sum of the tilt value and the distance measured by the strip- shaped body movement distance measuring units 13.</p>
