The present invention relates to a modular construction. Modular construction consisting of a limited number of standard elements, characterised in that it is chiefly composed, on the one hand, of supporting frames (1) in the form of spaced double walls connected by at least two longitudinal elements (1'), said supporting frames (1) being provided with lateral fixing means (2 or 2') and, on the other hand, of upper head elements (5, 6) connectable to said supporting frames (1), connecting them at least in pairs, and also, optionally, of side wall elements (3) having fixing means that can engage with the fixing means (2) of the supporting frames (1); assembly and fitting of said standard elements (1, 3, 5 and 6) in units of construction (9) being achieved purely by means of male/female joints requiring the use of neither tools nor independent supplementary fixing or connecting elements. <IMAGE>
