PURPOSE:To increase capacity of a pilot bearing by forming an outer lace of the pilot bearing integrally with an installation part of a carrier case and fixing the pilot bearing on the carrier case through the installation part. CONSTITUTION:A flange type installation part 21 partially extended to the outside in the radial direction and in the circumferential direction is previously integrally formed on the outer periphery of an outer lace 18 of a pilot bearing 17 with a pinion shaft 20 of a hypoid pinion 2 pressed-in the inside of an inner lace 19. Additionally, a support part 22 of the pilot bearing 17 forming a step part of a roughly same shape so as to install the installation part 21 on a carrier case 1, and the installation part 21 is fixed on the support part 22 through a bolt 23. The hypoid pinion 2 is supported free to rotate on the carrier case 1 by the pilot bearing 17 fixed on the support part 22 through the installation part 21. An allowance is made in a structural space in the radial direction and it is possible to increase load capacity of the pilot bearing 17 and to strengthen the support part. |
