PURPOSE:To execute retry processing to be executed after the abnormal operation of a host device independently of an input/output (I/O) device by storing the succeeding action of the host device to be executed when I/O operation is abnormal-terminated in a previously determined position as coding information and informing status information including the coding information to the host device. CONSTITUTION:This controller is provided with an analyzing means 4a for analyzing the succeeding action of the host device 1 to be executed in each abnormal operation at the time of detecting abnormal operation in the I/O operation of the host device 1, a setting means 4b for setting up an analytic result on a prescribed position in status information as a code and an informing means 4c for informing the set status information to the host device 1. Consequently, the retry processing of the host device 1 after its abnormal operation can be executed independently of the I/O device 4 and the retry processing itself can be simplified. |
