PURPOSE:To precisely and easily execute work by mutually arranging plural laser optical devices on plural step-like supporting surfaces in parallel. CONSTITUTION:When starting operation is executed, a belt-like photosensitive body 7 is carried in a direction shown by an arrow and respective electrostatic chargers 10 - 13 are turned on. Then, electrostatic charge is given on the body 7. Next, respective developing devices 20 - 23 are turned on. Then, the exposure of the Y image of a semiconductor laser beam is executed by the Y laser optical device 41. Besides, an electrostatic latent image is formed on the body 7 and developed by the Y developing device 20. Then, a Y toner image is formed. The Y toner image is passed under the M electrostatic charger 11 and electrostatically charged again. Thereafter, the exposure of an M image is executed by an optical device 51 and developed by the M developing device 21. Then, an M toner image is formed on the Y toner image. Besides, electrostatic latent images formed by the optical devices 61 and 71 are similarly developed by the developing devices 22 and 23 and a C toner image and a BK toner image are successively superposed.
