<p>PURPOSE:To reduce frequency of electrolyte replacement work by stopping current supply when the decreasing speed of current for electro-polishing of linear piece exceeds a reference one. CONSTITUTION:If a switch circuit 9 is closed, a part which is soaked in electrolyte 3 in a linear piece 1 is electro-polished to become tapered gradually with a change in the output signal of an AD converter 10. Difference (Si-1-Si) is calculated by a reduced amount calculating circuit 11 based on signals sent from the AD converter 10 one after another to be outputted to a comparison circuit 13. If the difference exceeds the reference value and it is detected that the linear piece 1 is cut off, a response signal is generated from the comparison circuit 13 and sent to the switch circuit 9, so that the switch circuit 9 is opened, current supply for electro-polishing from a power source 6 is stopped, and a tip whose end is sharp-pointed is formed at the end of the linear piece 1.</p> |
