The invention relates to a syringe push device comprising drive means (9) which are equipped with an output drive shaft (9a), a drive pinion (7), and movement transmission means driven by the drive means (9) via the drive pinion (7). This device is characterised in that it comprises at least one intermediate component (22, 23) designed to transmit to the drive pinion (7) the rotational movement of the output drive shaft (9a), and comprising at least one surface of coupling (22a, 23a) to a conjugate coupling surface (7a) of the drive pinion (7), elastic means (27) capable of presenting two states, namely an expanded state and a compressed state, and designed to hold the intermediate component (22, 23) in an engaged position in one of the said states, and to permit a displacement of the said intermediate component towards a disengaged position in their other state, and a clutch mechanism (30, 31, 33, 40, 41) designed to hold the elastic means (27) in one or other of their states. <IMAGE>
