<p>PURPOSE:To select a menu item without fail by providing a means to prevent a pointer from getting out of a display area. CONSTITUTION:A pointer movement suppressing means 35 is provided to prevent the pointer from getting out of the display area when moving the pointer in a display device by a coordinate input means in the state of displaying a menu on the display device. For example, when a mouse 1 is moved to right before releasing a mouse button 11, namely, in the middle of dragging, the pointer 5 stays within the area of a pull-down menu 6 and does not get out of the area. Similarly, when the mouse 1 is moved to left or downward, the pointer 5 also does not move over the left and lower ends of the pull-down menu 6 respectively. Thus, when operating menu selection, the menu item can be selected without fail.</p> |
