The invention relates to a class G power amplifier module comprising a first and a second power supply terminal respectively at a first (V1) and at a second (V2) power supply voltage source respectively of high and low value, as well as a first (T1) and a second (T2) power transistor, and also including an output terminal (S). The main current paths of the first (T1) and second (T2) transistors are arranged respectively on the one hand between the first power supply terminal (V1) and the output terminal (S) and, on the other hand, the second power supply terminal (V2) and the output terminal (S). It also includes threshold switching means (I) for routing an input signal to the base to the first or of the second transistor according to whether the output signal is, in absolute value, above or below the said threshold. <IMAGE>
