LIGHT SIGNAL AMPLIFIER

摘要

PURPOSE:To reduce the transmission loss of a fiber for optical amplification and to amplify plural signals at the same time by installing plural optical fiber type optical amplifiers between a single optical spectroscope and a single optical multiplexer in parallel. CONSTITUTION:A 1st and a 2nd signal light beam which have different wavelengths alpha1 and lambda2 are inputted to an optical demultiplexer 2 first and demultiplexed into light beams having the wavelengths. Those demultiplexed light beams are transmitted to individual optical fiber type optical amplifiers by two optical fibers which are connected to the optical demultiplexer 2. Then they are transmitted to fibers 51 and 52 for optical amplification and the 1st and 2nd signal light beams are amplified and multiplexed by the optical multiplexer 8 into 1st and 2nd amplified signal light beams having the wavelengths lambda1 and lambda2. Consequently, the optical amplifiers which are easily manufactured and can reduce transmission loss and amplify signals in plural wavelength bands at the same time can easily be obtained.
