PURPOSE:To surely detect the leakage into a system where discovery is usually difficult by winding a developable rigid envelope and soft envelopes continuously connected across both ends thereof on the surface of an object to be examined, and force-feeding fluid therein. CONSTITUTION:Soft envelopes 2a, 2b of respectively a rectangular shape are continuously connected to both sides of a rigid evenlope 1 of a rectangular shape and these envelopes 1, 2a, 2b consist of the rubber or plastic materials having airtightness. Expansion tubes 6a, 6b are wound 2-3 turns longitudinally on pipings 10a, 10b in suitable positions, and fluid such as gas or liquid is force-fed therein through tube pressing ports 8a, 8b, whereby the tubes are expanded. Thereafter, the part between the envelopes 1, 2a, 2b and the object to be examined are perfectly closed hermetically with the exception of a whistle 9. Thereupon, when there is a leaking part between flange faces or the like and if the pressure in th pipings is below the atmospheric pressure, the air in the envelopes enters the inside of the pipings, and the whistle sounds. |
