PURPOSE:To extract a surface form out of the design drawing data by providing a function to divide the drawing by the elements of segments and arcs and a continuous retrieval function to select successively the segments or arcs crossing the end points of desired elements. CONSTITUTION:The design drawing data is extracted out of a file 1 and supplied to an element retrieving part 3 to take out a drawing element (a) of segment and arc. This element data is supplied to a cross detecting part 4 to obtain the cross point between the segment and the arc. Thus an element (b) is obtained. Then the segment and the arc are divided at a surface forming part 5 to obtain an element (c). This data is supplied to a continuous retrieving part 6 to select successively the segments crossing the segment end point out of a segment A, for example, and to perform the clockwise continuous retrieval to obtain an element (e) which is shown by thick lines. While the counterclockwise continuous retrieval is carried out to obtain an element (f) to register it to a register part 8. A retrieving frequency counter part 7 monitors the retrieving frequency of the retrieved element and performs the clockwise continuous retrieval based on a segment B of an element (g) which is retrieved once to obtain an element (h). Thus it is possible to obtain a surface form desired by the contents (i) of the part 8. |
