<p>PURPOSE:To prepare a resin composition desirable for the production of a printing ink which can provide stable printing by reacting a rosin-modified phenol resin with an isocyanate compound. CONSTITUTION:A resin composition prepared by reacting a rosin-modified phenol resin with an isocyanate compound. This reaction is usually conducted at about 60-120 deg.C by adding an organotin compound, an amine or the like as a catalyst and blowing a nitrogen gas over about 1-4hr. As the rosin-modified phenol resin, a resin prepared by reacting a resol phenol resin with rosin or its derivative, and a resin having a softening point of 160-180 deg.C and a weight- average molecular weight of about 8000-100000 is desirable. As the isocyanate compound, a mono- or poly-isocyanate compound can be desirably used.</p> |
