The wind driven turbine has blades (4) attached to a common hub (5) which is mounted on a shaft (2). Each blade has a hyperbolic profile along a radial line with the concave surface facing into the wind. The tip of each blade has a raised edge (7). The wind is deflected radially outwards by the blade and the raised edge is so curved that it deflects the air tangentially to provide a reaction force on the turbine in the direction of rotation, thus increasing the power of the turbine. USE/ADVANTAGE - Wind driven turbine with greater efficiency than the usual propeller type turbine.
