PURPOSE:To obtain the title molding excellent in mechanical properties, dimensional stability and heat resistance by irradiating a molding of a composition prepared by mixing a saturated polyester resin with a specified cationically polymerizable compound and a photopolymerization initiator therefor with ultraviolet rays and thermally aging the irradiated molding. CONSTITUTION:The title molding is obtained by mixing a resin (A) based on a linear saturated polyester (e.g. polyethylene terephthalate) with a cationically polymerizable compound (B) based on an epoxy resin having at least two oxirane rings in the molecule (e.g. bisphenol epoxy resin or novolac epoxy resin) and a photopolymerization initiator (C) for compound B which releases a Lewis acid catalyst upon being irradiated with ultraviolet rays (e.g. a compound of formula I, II or III); forming the obtained composition containing 50-5wt.%, based on component A, component B and 0.01-20wt.%, based on component B, component C into a molding, photocrosslinking this molding by irradiation with ultraviolet rays and thermally aging the photocross-linked molding. |
