<p>A reusable cover sheet for facsimile transmission comprises a flexible opaque sheet (10) having permanent first markings (12) denoting information of a permanent generic nature as well as blank spaces and lines disposed on the sheet for making temporary erasable markings to convey the message to be sent. The flexible sheet is thin enough to be fed through a facsimile transmission machine without difficulty and the temporary markings are made of a material not substantially affected by passage through the machine. The temporary markings, are removed after the message is sent, making the reusable cover sheet ready for its next use in sending a new message. In a preferred embodiment the reusable facsimile cover sheet comprises a sheet of white paper (18) with permanent information and ruled lines for the message printed on both sides. The paper with printed information is laminated between two layers (20 and 22) of thin transparent plastic. The invention further comprises a kit including a reusable cover sheet, a felt-tipped pen (32) with a felt eraser (34) at one end, and a container (48) for those two items with means for attaching the container (52) to a suitable location near the facsimile machine for ready access. Also, a method for saving paper by using the reusable facsimile cover sheet and kit is disclosed.</p> |
