METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SUSPENSION CULTURE OF TISSUE CELLS AND MICROORGANISMS

The invention relates to microbiological and medical technology. In accordance with the method, the suspension of cells is mixed in a cylindrical receptacle by creating internally a quasi-stationary rotational movement generated by means of an aerating gas fed into the receptacle above the surface of the cell suspension in a rotational manner. In an apparatus for implementing the method a device (5) for mixing the suspension by providing internally a quasi-stationary rotational movement and a pipe (3) for feeding the aerating gas are mounted at the upper part of a receptacle above the level of the cell suspension. The device consists of a pump whose delivery pipe is connected to an aerating gas feed pipe (3) mounted tangentially to the generatrix of the receptacle.
