An apparatus and method useful for disinfecting a contact lens are disclosed. The apparatus includes a color indicator element comprising a redox polymer containing a repeating unit which has a stable oxidized state and a stable reduced state. This color indicator element provides a color indication of the presence of the oxidative disinfectant, e.g., hydrogen peroxide, in the liquid medium. |
