A mobile lifting device has a wheeled stand (1) and, projecting upwardly therefrom, an upright (2) along which a patient carrier is movable so as to be vertically adjustable in relation to the upright by means of a driving means (26) mounted on the upright. Further, the upright includes two spaced-apart U-sections (17, 17') which open in opposite directions and are arranged inside a casing (18) which has an essentially U-shaped cross-section and which opens towards the carrier. Moreover, the carrier is connected to a slide-type or carriage-type frame (19) with wheels or rollers (23) which run in the U-sections. The driving means is a screw mechanism, preferably a ball screw (26), which is mounted in a space between the U-sections. The casing (18) encloses and outwardly protects the U-sections, the movable frame and the ball screw (26). |
