The pivoting doors (7) of a turbojet thrust reverser are associated with an upstream panel (20) connected to the door (7) by means of a link (22), the door (7) and the panel (20) each pivoting about an independent pivot (27, 28) on the fixed structure under the action of an actuator (7a). In the thrust reversal position, the panel (20) separated from the door (7) provides a passage and serves to control the reversed flow layers. In the direct jet position, the internal door cavity (16) isolated from the airstream by said panel (20) co-operating with the fixed upstream part (1) of the reverser and, on the downstream side, with the internal door face (7) at the seals, is left at ambient pressure which is exerted on the upstream part (11b) of the internal element (11) of door (7) while the downstream part (11a) is subjected to the airstream pressure so as to provide for self-closing of the door (7). |
