The device is used for exercising the lips and facial muscles of players of brass or woodwind instruments. It consists of a rod (1) to which a number of discs (2 to 8) are attached. Each disc has a central hole to enable it to be a fitted over the rod. The discs are of different dia. and consequently of different weights. The discs are retained on the rod by a nut (3) ' which engages a screw thread on the end (1a) of the rod. The opposite end (1b) of the rod is gripped between the lips of the user of the device. USE/ADVANTAGE - Exercising lips and facial muscles of brass and woodwind instrumentalists more effectively than by playing the instrument.
