Two valves (1,2) designed for simultaneous operation have a common cup tappet (11) which has a pressure medium chamber (17) located centrally between the valves (1,2). Spring retainers (7,8) hold valve closing springs (5,6), and each valve has a hydraulic clearance compensator (32,33) which is at least partially integrated into the tappet and supplied with pressure medium through ducts (30,31) in the valve tappet (11). The chamber (17) has pressure medium connections withthe compensators (32,33), the bearing surface (29) and outer guide surface (12) of the tappet.
