Light is passed through an object from several source positions for separate individual images. Image values corresp. to the absorption in image points (P1,....) for each image are stored in the memory. A sectional image value corresp. to the absorption is derived from each sectional image point (L15,....). The values are first transferred from the first memory into a second and a third is cleared. A sectional image point value is formed from values in the second memory for image points geometrically associated with it and is added to values in the third memory associated with the corresp. image points. The steps are repeated for all points in the section and a number of sections (E1,....) over the whole object vol. A differencing, normalising and superposition routine is repeated.
