The coated article and a method for producing the coating article are described. The article is coated with an effective columnar grain ceramic thermal barrier coating. Between the substrate (1) and columnar ceramic coating (4) is an inner layer of a specific composition which provides for enhanced durability and resistance to spoliation. |
