<p>1363372 Spindle bearings SKF KUGELLAGERFABRIKEN GmbH 17 March 1972 [20 March 1971] 12732/72 Heading DID [Also in Division F2] The bearing assembly of a spinning or twisting machine has a housing 1 which is located in an aperture in the frame 13 of the machine, there being an abutment 12 on the housing which acts with the frame to limit movement of the housing in one axial direction. Resilient means 14 are located between the frame and the abutment and further resilient means 15 act between the frame and the housing to urge the housing in the said direction. The spindle is supported radially in the bearing assembly by a roller bearing 3 resiliently mounted in one end of the housing. A resilient ring 6 or series of resilient arcuate elements may be provided between the bearing and housing. The spindle is supported axially by a footstep bearing 8 located in a tube 4 which is located within the housing by a damping coil 11.</p> |
