Located above the horizontal conveyor (8) is a glass pane support device (16) which defines the plane (34) in which the glass panes move. The horizontal conveyor (8) can be moved at right angles to the conveyor direction parallel to the support surface (11) which is adjacent to the plane in which the glass panes move.
