The heat exchanger has a primary chamber (4) for the primary medium and secondary chamber (5) for the secondary medium. The two chambers are separated from each other by a gas tight wall (6) of thermally conductive material. The primary chamber has a cylindrical wall which forms the inner wall of the secondary chamber. The outer wall of the secondary chamber is formed from commercially available corrugated metal sheet with the corrugations arranged to form ducts for the secondary medium. With this design of heat exchanger only the wall (6) of the primary chamber needs to be made from an expensive heat resisting alloy. USE/ADVANTAGE - Heat exchanger using the min amount of expensive heat resisting alloys.
