The conical body (3) of the fitting is flanged onto the pipe (2) and is provided with a flame barrier (5) in a frame (4). A hinged hood (7) loaded by spring (9) in opening direction is secured in closed position by wing nut (14) with composite shaft connected to metal mantles (12,13) held together with fuse element (15).
