<p>A laser including a lasing cavity formed by a mirror and a phase conjugate reflector including a stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) cell there being included also means for causing an avalanche increase in the Brillouin scattering within the SBS cell thereby to cause the SBS cell to act in the manner of a Q-switch within the lasing cavity.</p> |
