The process, designed for producing sandals with a rubber base and a body of cork agglomerate, consists in directly moulding the agglomerate on a prefabricated rubber base with a thermal control which makes it possible to maintain the appropriate temperature in the zone for moulding the agglomerate without this temperature damaging the rubber base, to which end said base is also kept at an appropriate temperature, the pieces constituting the vamp, between the rubber base and the granulate which is to form the cork body being interposed beforehand in the moulding base, all the aforesaid in such a manner that, in a single operation, shaping of the sandal and definitive fixing between the various component elements thereof are achieved. The invention also covers the mould for implementing said process, which is structured on the basis of three pieces 1, 2 and 3, the first with a housing 5 which coincides in terms of shape and dimensions with the sole 6, the second with a hole 7 which coincides in terms of shape and dimension with the peripheral of the cork agglomerate body, and the third with a lower relief 9 which, during moulding, confers on the sole the anatomical configuration of its upper face at the same time as it fixes the covering sheet 10 to it. <IMAGE>
