A device for the connection of aligning sections (15, 16) of a busbar (14) uses connecting pieces (1) of approximately rectangular basic shape. Spherically rounded contact surfaces (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) are provided on the ends of the connecting pieces (1) to rest on the narrow sides of the rectangular profile of the busbars. Provided on the one side of the connecting piece (1) are two contact surfaces (4, 5; 6,7), flanked by projections (8), while two pairs of contact surfaces (4, 5; 6, 7) are provided on the opposite side.
