<p>Antibiotics of the general formula (I): (where Y = and R = H, halogen, azido, acyloxy, alkoxy, aryloxy, or SR' (R' = alkyl aryl or heterocycle), R1, Ri = H, opt. substd. alkyl, aryl aralkyl, aryloxy, cycloalkane or heterocycle, or R1 + R2 form a ring, R3 = H, halogen, OH, NH2, NHalk, azido, CN, Oalk, Salk, aryloxycarbonyl, aralkyloxycarbonyl or alkoxycarbonyl, n = 0 or 1) are prepd. from corresp. amino-cpds. (e.g. 6-APA) by protection with trivalent phosphorus halides, reacting the inters. with active derivs. of carboxylic acids and removing the protective gp. by solvolysis.</p> |
